Low Frequency Transmitter Clamp 5″/125mm (SiS/SD)
The Vivax-Metrotech Low Frequency Transmitter Clamp is a precise way to apply the locating signal if a direct connection is not possible. Signal Select (SiS) and Signal Direction (SD) are special frequencies placed on the target utility line to support positive line identification in challenging environments.
Used in conjunction with the vLoc3-5000 or vLoc3 RTK-Pro receiver and a capable transmitter, the Low Frequency Clamp becomes a powerful tool in aiding accurate cable identification. At the receiver with SiS a positive (+) icon appears on the operational interface if the operator correctly identifies and traces the line. A negative (-) icon appears on the operational interface if the operator finds a parallel line or a return current instead of the desired line. Tracing along a line will provide a constant indication of the same polarity.
Signal Select is special modulation on the following frequencies SiS491 Hz, SiS982 Hz, SiS8.44 kHz, and SiS9.82 kHz. Signal Direction is available on following frequencies SD220/440Hz, SD280/560Hz, SD285/570Hz, SD380/760Hz, SD460/920Hz, SD256/512Hz, SD320/640Hz, SD680/340Hz, SD800/400Hz, SD920/460Hz, SD968/484Hz, SD1168/584Hz, SD1248/624Hz, SD4096/8192Hz. SiS and SD help the user confirm that the correct line is located. SiS also provides additional information about the quality of the captured signal.
