          The NEW vLoc-9800 is a new addition to the vLoc Series 2 Locator Range, it builds on the Metrotech tradition of performance and simplicity.

    

Distance Sensitive Left/Right GuidanceTM

Pioneered by Metrotech thirty years ago - this is the standard method of locating in many industries. Most manufacturers provide left/right indication using a peak/null antenna set. Metrotech product and now the vLoc-9800 uses two horizontal guidance antennas some distance apart. This provides very accurate left/right separation – that, together with an exceptionally high level of sensitivity, produces a crisp, fast, accurate response… and an easier locate.

  • A-frame

    The A-frame accessory is used to detect ground faults on pipes and cables. In the case of pipes, the faults consist of coating defects. In the case of cables, faults are usually caused by insulation damage allowing the metallic sheath (or internal conductor) to become in contact with the ground.

     

  • VX2/50 Clamp

    • Clamp is used to apply the transmitter signal to an insulated line, removing the need to connect the transmitter signal directly to a conductor or cable sheath.

  • VX4/100 Clamp

    • An accessory used to apply the transmitter signal to an insulated line, removing the need to connect the transmitter signal directly to a conductor or cable sheath.

  • VX5/125 Clamp

    • An accessory used to apply the transmitter signal to an insulated line, removing the need to connect the transmitter signal directly to a conductor or cable sheath.

  • VX18/450F Clamp

    • A flexible clamp used to apply the transmitter signal to an insulated line, removing the need to connect the transmitter signal directly to a conductor or cable sheath.

  • LPC Separation Filter

    The LPC separation filter (LPC) is used to safely inject a trace tone to a live cable via a domestic mains socket, so that the cable can be traced from the premises to the connection in the street. It is suitable for connecting to voltages between 100V AC and 250V AC.

  • Remote Antenna

     

    The remote antenna can be used to help identify a particular cable on a cable tray or where cables are bunched together.
     

     

  • MyLocator2

    MyLocator2 configuration tool is a software package that enables the operator to configure the vLoc series 2 of locators.

    MyLocator2 allows operators

    • To transfer data from the locator to a host computer.
    • To perform software upgrade
    • To add splash screen to the receivers
    • To save the receiver configuration or use the saved configuration on other receiver
  • Direct Connection Lead

     Used to connect the transmitter to a line using the direct connection method.

  • Ground Spool

    Used to extend the ground connection to a suitable grounding position.

  • Banana Plugs Adapter

    Adapts the direct connection crocodile clip to banana plug allowing the direct connection leads to be connected to a banana socket.

  • Loc-1Tx Alkaline Battery Tray

    Alkaline battery tray for Loc-1Tx transmitter. Requires 4 x Alkaline D cells.

  • Loc-5Tx Rechargeable Battery Pack

    NiMH rechargeable battery pack for Loc-5Tx transmitter.

  • Loc-5Tx Alkaline Battery Tray

    Alkaline battery tray for Loc-5Tx transmitter. Requires 8 x Alkaline D cells.

  • Loc-5Tx/10Tx Charger

    Mains charger (100-250V AC input) used to charge 5 Watt or 10 Watt transmitters rechargeable battery packs. Supplied as standard with rechargeable battery option.

  • Receiver Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery Pack

    The Lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack is supplied as standard for receivers. Charging is done with the battery inside the receiver.

  • Receiver Standard Battery Charger

    The receiver Lithium-ion battery charger is supplied as a standard item. It is powered from the mains supply. (100-250V AC)

  • Receiver Alkaline Battery Holder

    This alkaline battery holder is supplies as standard and is used in the event the rechargeable battery pack has fully discharged. It can be considered as a backup battery pack. It requires 6 x AA alkaline batteries.

  • Receiver Vehicle Charging Lead

    12ft (4m) long vehicle charging lead to charge the receiver’s battery (Lithium-ion) while on the move.

    Used to make an independent connection to the ground so as to complete the circuit when the transmitter is connected to a line using the direct connection method.
